Roulette: The Search for the Sunrise Killer Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Police Detective Rebecca Storme, and her husband, veteran Detective Sergeant Peter Storme, both married more to the badge than each other, have inevitable conflict within their marriage, and their careers are put to the test when a psychopathic killer invades their peaceful Southern California community and turns it into a hotbed of fear and outrage.
Rebecca Storme, the only woman in the detective bureau, and the sole member of the Sex Crimes Unit, finds that the Sunrise Killer will not only challenge her career, her marriage, but her very life.
Her husband, Detective Sergeant Storme, has been caught up in the infighting of the police department and city management, and is drawn deeper into his career battles and challenges as the Sunrise Killer makes his appearance in their city. As the Sunrise Killer increases his maniacal assault on the innocent women and children of San Remo, his reach goes far beyond his actual victims and their families. The lives of those dedicated to preserving peace within the city are challenged to the limits, both in their personal lives and in their professional careers.
This award-winning story is fast-moving, often riveting, often disturbing, as the cops are repeatedly challenged by a serial killer who has them all in his tight grip. Will the cops be able to break his grip and stop his horrific killings?

- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2012Excelent book, well written, fast paced and great plot! This was so well written that when I first started reading it I had to go back and check to be sure it was a fiction book!
I have an uncany way of figureing out the culprit with in the first few chapters.... Then I have to read the book to see if I'm right... I was, but the authors hide the indentity exstremly well... Wasn't sure till almost the very end.
Well worth the read!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2012This book was only okay for me. The characters were not developed enough for me to sympathize with their personal struggles while trying to solve their case. It was easy to figure out who the murderer was and feel annoyed with the main characters for not figuring it out sooner. Interesting thoughts about different approaches to police investigations are brought up in the book.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2018The characters in the book are well developed and easy to follow who is who. I sleuthed this book about half way through and figured out who the killer was. It wasn’t that easy to figure out, I just got lucky in this one. An enjoyable read. Look forward to more from this duo.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2012Fast-paced crime, good character and plot development. The end becomes predictable early on, but good outside of that. I would read subsequent Rebecca and Peter Storme books just to see how the marriage plays out.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 4, 2012I would call this a "DECENT" thriller novel although it never got thrilling because I knew who the killer was 1/4 of the way in the book. The whole things was sadly predictable and in some ways annoying. The characters were pretty unrealistic especially the behavior of the Detective Rebecca. The whole thing was a tad vulgar for my taste as well as mildly disturbing. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone thats not a bored sociopath.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 21, 2012The book has twists and turns. You never see the end the one who did it. Great ending.Story had several people in it and to me pretty much like real life people in police work. You had time to set the scene in this book. A very good mystery novel and I enjoyed it. I got this book on amazon free book list. I will check out the other books this author has written.
I have enjoyed my kindle and also my kindle fire.
Thanks for your time.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2012The author of this book! It was okay as far as the plot went, but the constant referrals to the marital status of the Stormes was an over kill. Especially when Rebecca and Pete are (I presumed) suppose to be trying to make the marriage work, yet she was day dreaming about other unmarried men through out the book and he was a master at doing and saying all the wrong things! Their marital problems did not enhance the story for me, they were obsessive to a fault.
There were places in the flow of piece that didn't make sense. I felt, on occasion, that I walked in on the middle of the conversation. I read it all, however I was sure glad when it ended. I'm sure other readers will like it, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Many Careless Mistakes
Packed this in 49% of the way through. It was packed full of careless mistakes I did try to overlook as the story started out well but they wore me down in the end. I'd guessed whodunnit by then too.
Ensure was written as insure and it's a shock how many authors don't know the difference between the two, the Sunrise Rapist was in capitals one minute then not, misuse of apostrophes was rife, missing speechmarks, intern written as interne, there was spaces added to words for no reason such as s o and no where. Twice the word bear was written as bare, scary as scarey.....by then I'd had a gutful of it.
The relationship between the husband and wife police people seemed a little daft and they both behaved very immaturely, I thought, and just managed to annoy me.
